Make A Splash!

The SRC has a 237,000-gallon pool and 20-person spa available for your aquatic adventures. The pool contains a lap swim area, recreational swim area and a vortex/current channel. It is available for lap swimming, recreational swimming, programming and rentals. A large deck with furniture is also available for those that would like to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. 

Can you swim the distance? Swim your way through our Spring quarter challenge. Each challenge completed qualifies you for an exclusive prize. Available to SRC Members only. Ask an aquatics team member for more information.

  • Beginner’s Challenge: SRC to the Big “C” - Swim the distance from the SRC to the big “C” hike and back, totaling 4 miles.
  • Intermediate Challenge: UC Riverside to the Sea - Swim the distance to Newport Beach, a local favorite, totaling 48 miles.
  • Advanced Challenge: UC Riverside to UC Irvine - Swim the distance from UC Riverside to UC Irvine, totaling 60 miles.

Private lessons provide participants with the opportunity to learn at his/her own pace and can be adapted for all abilities. Set the time to meet your schedule and our instructor will work to meet your swimming goals. SRC Aquatics staff will contact you to arrange your private lessons, after you’ve registered at the SRC front counter. Private lessons are 30 minute one-on-one sessions scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Participants may add a second person to create a semi-private lesson. Available to SRC Members only.

We offer a variety of waterproof workouts to meet individual needs and goals. This program allows you to swim your way into shape on your own time. See an SRC Aquatics Staff Member to get a waterproof workout for your next swim!

Join us for open stand up paddleboarding (SUP) time in the SRC South Pool. Limited paddleboards will be available for use in the pool. An instructor will also be available to help participants learn the basics.

Participants will recieve stroke improvement drills and instruction on the four swimming strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.

30 minutes, twice a week for four (4) weeks. These lessons are for adults with little or no comfort in the water.

Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid and CPR/AED and other skills you need to work as a professional lifeguard.

The R’Family Swim Program provides families (2 adults and 3 children max) with an opportunity to swim and practice their swim skills outside of lesson times.
