Life Skills and Leadership

Life Skills and Leadership is a program of the Recreation Department, developed to assist with non-academic student success. Workshops are offered throughout the academic year; students who attend 5 out of the 6 annual workshops earn a Certificate of Completion in Life Skills and Leadership. Registration is highly recommended at the SRC front counter. All presentations are FREE.

Mission

These presentations will help develop core values that include goal setting, communication, leadership fundamentals, self-esteem, fiscal management, health and wellness, time management, customer service and community building.

History

Life Skills and Leadership Series has been offered by the Recreation Department since Fall 2015. Workshop topics include: Conflict Resolution, Building Trust, Emotional Intelligence, How Decision Making Affects Your Shopping Habits, Women and Leadership, Motivating Others, Cutting-Edge Resume and Interview Skills, Financial Planning, Food Insecurity, Pathways to a Government Job, and Guided Meditation and Stress Relief.
