Fitness Equipment Checkout


UC Riverside Recreation offers a number of fitness equipment for rental use.

All equipment is available free of charge on a first come first serve basis. A student ID number and name is all that is required to checkout equipment.

By appointment only: Equipment can be picked up on Monday and returned to the SRC by Friday.

Any damaged equipment will be charged a damage fee of $15.

Send an email to to submit your request for an appointment by 5pm Thursdays. Fitness items are checked out on a first come, first served basis.

Once your equipment reservation has been accepted, you will receive a confirmation email with your designated pickup time.

Pickup is available by appointment only every other Monday morning due to limited staffing and building access.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email Angel. We cannot guarantee any special requests as staffing and building access is limited. 

You may check out a maximum of two pieces of weight equipment plus additional cardio items such as a jump ropes, yoga balls, bosu's, core bags or resistance bands as inventory allows. 

Check out period will be for two weeks of use so that we can ensure access to equipment for as many students as possible. Since our fitness items are in high demand, in particular heavier weights, we need items returned timely so all patrons can have a fair chance to check out these items from week to week. 

Return hours are by appointment only on Friday afternoons due to limited staffing and building access. We expect that equipment be returned timely and in good condition to ensure future check out privileges.

For your safety and protection, we need the entire weekend to ensure that all items can be thoroughly disinfected and are ready for check out again.

Note: Do not engage in any exercise program without consent of a medical doctor who has agreed that they you are healthy enough to exercise.
