80,000 Reasons to Get in Shape
The Student Recreation Center is an 80,000- square-foot facility with a 6,000-square-foot weight room, a 3,000-square-foot area with 14 treadmills, 17 elliptical cycle, men’s and women’s locker rooms, three multipurpose rooms, four racquetball courts, one squash court and a hardwood gym with four full basketball courts.
On game days, the Student Recreation Center is transformed into the home arena for the UCR Highlanders’ basketball and volleyball teams and can seat 2,733 fans.
The UCR Recreation Department's Lake House at Big Bear offers your group the location to grow together as a cohesive unit, conduct team building activities and share unique experiences in a beautiful setting away from campus! To request a reservation, please fill out our Lake House at Big Bear Request Form and attach it in an email to Rose Edmonds at rose.edmonds@ucr.edu or bring it in to the front counter of the Student Recreation Center.
