Inclusivity

The UC Riverside Recreation department is committed to making our facilities, programs and services inclusive and welcoming to all UC Riverside community members. We promise to create spaces that affirm, support and welcome all Highlanders, from all backgrounds, abilities and fitness levels.

WE BELIEVE IN ACCESS FOR EVERYONE

The UC Riverside Recreation department is working on making the Student Recreation Center as inclusive as possible.

UCR Recreation encourages people of all abilities to participate in any of our programs and services offered, and we are committed to equal opportunity and inclusion for all UCR community members.

Our award-winning SRC facility features a variety of accessible fitness equipment.

SRC Accessible Features

Access to the UC Riverside Student Recreation Center (SRC) includes ADA wheelchair ramps, wide exterior and interior doors with wide hallways, automatic door openers, accessible lockers and showers, lowered counter areas and accessible water stations. All of our multi-purpose rooms and locations contain raised text, Grade 2 braille, contrasting colors and meet the Federal regulations for the visually impaired. The SRC's pool comes with two self-operating ADA lifts that are available on the pool deck at all times, and there are railings in the pool and transfer bars available at the spa.

NOTE: The UCR Recreation department offers a wide variety of adaptive equipment and recreational programming, and we are available to provide further accommodations if needed. Contact recinfo@ucr.edu for more information or comments.
