Front
Counter
Front Counter Clerk
Responsible for opening the facility, certifying access into SRC, and cashiering responsibilities. Also responsible for check-in and out of sports equipment, racquetball court reservations, and maintains lost and found. Answers questions and disseminates information regarding Recreation Programs and the Student Recreation Center.
Equipment Supervisor
Collaborates with professional and student staff on maintenance/custodial projects. Supervise and provide guidance to Student Assistant/Custodial staff in accomplishing daily tasks. Handles scheduling of maintenance department.
SRC Facility
Building Steward/Events
Assist in the day to area setups and tear downs of activities and events throughout the facilities. Monitor activity to ensure safe and orderly use of equipment and facilities including building policies. Provide CPR/first aid as needed due to injury / accidents.
Operations Assistant (OA)
Responsible for maintaining the towel service offered at the SRC. Primary responsibilities include gathering, washing and folding towels. In addition to towel service the OA department is responsible for setting up and breaking down pool related events as well as conduct group tours of the SRC.

Activity Instructor
All classes are taught in our multipurpose rooms at the Student Recreation Center at various times, including the weekends. At this time, we are taking applications from individuals to augment existing classes as well as ideas for new classes to help us reach our goal of offering something for everyone.
Aquatics
Lifeguards
The lifeguard team is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety of patrons using the aquatic facilities, as well as enforcing rules and regulations regarding pool use. Position requires strong swim skills and specialized knowledge/training/certifications.

Culinary Assistant
Under supervision of the Chef, the assistant is responsible for preparing & serving food for cooking demos & events, gardening, and any related office work or duties. New staff is required to complete a Food Handlers Certification.

Competitive Sports Office Manager
Provide the general organization of the Intramural Sports program and act as the customer service representative for Intramural Sports.
Game Operations Manager
Responsible for maintaining an accurate records of the games by checking participants into the game, working the scoreboard during the games, and recording information on team score sheets. Must have previous experience officiating three quarters of Intramural Sports games.
Intramural Official
Individuals interested in learning more about sports and the officiating profession are preferred. Applicants are allowed to officiate more than one sport and are still allowed to participate in all Intramural Sports events.
Intramural Sports Game Administrator/Scorekeeper
Responsible for recording game statistics and/or keeping time for the intramural sports games. An Intramural Sports Administrator is responsible for overseeing all paperwork at the duration of intramural sports games.
Sport Club Manager
This person is in charge on the site events during Club Sports games. Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED is required or must be completed within one month of hire.
FitWell
FitWell Attendant
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, orderly environment in the weight room, as well as ensuring the safe and proper use of all strength and cardiovascular equipment. The FitWell Attendant must provide excellent customer service at all times.
Group Fitness Instructor
Must lead a variety of safe and effective exercise classes for all fitness levels. All employees must have a current group fitness certification. Organizations accepted are ACE, AFAA, NASM, NSCA, and ACSM unless you have a specialty certification like Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, PiYo, etc.
Personal Trainer
Provides guidance through proper exercise prescription and wellness education. Certification Requirements: CPR certification: American Red Cross and minimum one of the following: ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA, AFAA, CrossFit L1 Trainer
Marketing
Graphic Designer
Must communicate frequently with clients and the Marketing Coordinator to ensure that the work is complete by the deadline. Designers must work with a wide range of media, successfully proofread, contribute ideas, and work as part of a team.
Photographer
Create a permanent visual image for a wide range of creative, technical and documentary purposes. Must communicate with a variety of photographic subjects plus manage and digitally enhance images to promote the SRC.
Rec Squad
Rec Squad members are ambassadors to the SRC and create awareness of our programs and services. Duties include educating and providing resources to UCR community, tabling on campus and at UCR events, social media management, and working with marketing team to develop videos.
Videographer
Capture footage, edit/assist in editing or producing video shorts, or other video productions such as sporting events and commercials. He or she will transport, set up, and operate equipment; and assist with lighting, staging, sound, set preparation and costume.
Maintenance
Maintenance Assistant
Lead, teach and mentor custodial maintenance student staff. Comfortable learning how to use handheld and power tools, patching, painting, basic troubleshooting/repairing equipment, changing lights and other similar tasks.
Maintenance Custodian
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining fitness equipment and maintenance areas. Must follow directions to complete daily tasks. Work with Student Assistant to complete routine maintenance and preventative maintenance.
Outdoor
Excursions
Outdoor Excursions Staff
Dispense information about the Trip and Equipment Rental Programs and prepare, maintain and check out gear in the OE Shop. Staff drive participants to the outdoors, and lead them on trips, helping learn new skills and challenging them.
Ropes
Ropes Staff
Must rotate working between our three areas including the Challenge Course, The Mobile Rock Wall, and the Rock. At the Challenge Course, you learn how to run events as small as eight up to 100+ people. At the Rock, you work on your customer service skills amongst your peers and the gym, and potentially change someone’s life by showing them all about Rock climbing. You may also have the opportunity to learn to drive our Mobile Rock Wall and take it all over Southern California for camps, birthday parties, festivals, etc. There is absolutely no experience required.
Youth
Programs
Camp Counselor
Responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills. Counselors are a role model to campers and staff in their attitude and behavior.
Youth Program Lead/Student Worker
Teach camp games and activities, sports, arts and crafts, leadership and teambuilding exercises to participants. A keen sense of health and safety when working with youth and the ability to identify risks through risk management analyses. A knack for writing and editing manuals as well as marketing materials.
